Families F.I.R.S.T. (Families in Recovery Succeeding Together) offers family-focused substance abuse treatment to families involved with DCS where substance abuse has been identified as putting children at risk.This program promotes family stability while supporting child safety.
In-Home Services responds to referrals from DCS to work with families where conditions represent a threat to child safety. Implemented in July 2012, the service focuses on increasing safety, stabilizing families and improving parenting skills.
Family Support Coordination (also known as First Things First) helps families that are wrestling with multiple issues and having difficulty finding the resources they need to be successful. Started in October 2012, Family Support Coordination employees help every member of the family access quality care, education and support.
Parent Aide assists families whose children are placed in DCS custody. Started in July 2012, Parent Aide employees engage parents in developing and following a plan for successful family reunification.
